TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State’ Felisha Johnson returned to the venue where she set the school record in the women’s weight throw this past December and established a new school record with another winning effort in the Lantz Gymnasium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University Friday.

Johnson was just one of five women winners on the night but was the only double winner. The senior captured the women’s weight throw with a career best distance of 75-feet-8-inches (23.06 meters) to break her own school record by almost five inches.

The distance also broke Johnson’s own Lantz Gymnasium record that she set in December and the Friday Night meet record of Southern Illinois’ Brittany Riley of 22.07 meters set in 2006. The Sycamore also won the shot put with a distance of 53-fet-11.75 meters (16.45 meters).
